AAR - OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMER by JOHN LITTLE from REVELATION SIX

As I was writing last week's post, B-2 bombers were on their way to destroy the Fordow and Natanz nuclear sites in Iran. It was only after I finished the article did they begin their bombing runs. I was not expecting the US to do this, since we Americans have a history of stabbing Israel in the back. But Trump didn't do that.

Furthermore, the bombs dropped on Fordow and Natanz were specifically designed for this mission. These bombs had only one target and one target only. And from my research it is clear that these targets were eliminated.

AAR - Operation Midnight Hammer

An After Action Report (AAR) is different than a Battle Damage Assessment (BDA). An AAR is normally used by ground forces and tells us what they did and what they saw. It also talks about what they could have done better. A BDA is used by the Air Force to try and discover if they actually accomplished their mission within mission parameters, and it requires extensive use of intelligence assets to get the information they need. And BDAs take time to create. But you and I sit on the ground, and we're impatient. So we'll talk about the AAR.

The Short Version

Targets Neutralized, mission successful.

The Long Version

As Scott Adams said recently, how you view the results of Operation Midnight Hammer, depends on whether you are a Republican or a Democrat. He is correct, and yes, we are that stupid. However, since I am neither, I might (if you squint) be a bit more objective.

The design for this mission began 16 years ago at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. A DTRA officer was shown what Iran was doing at Fordow and Natanz. They quickly realized that they didn't have the weapons to take out such a facility and needed to create one immediately.

More super computer time was used on this project than almost any other. Every part of this project had the very best PhDs and weapons specialists that America had. A mock-up of the target they had to destroy was made. The type of concrete, soil and rock were analyzed to make sure that this weapon would work the first time it was used. When their work was complete, the GBU-57 was the result, and only one aircraft could carry this bomb and make sure that it hit its target perfectly - the B-2 bomber.

Wikipedia will tell you that this bomb was operational in 2011, but that doesn't tell you the whole story. Once the bomb was made, they needed a massive number of tests to find the best way to destroy the target it was designed for.

Furthermore, it also waited for the right president to make the call for it to be used. No Democrat administration - as the Democrats are now - would have ordered the use of this weapon. I'm not even sure if most Republicans would have used this weapon, but Trump was different. And even though I am not a supporter of President Trump, he deserves our gratitude for making the right call at the right time.

Here's an excellent assessment by Air Force General Daniel Caine on how this project was designed and created, as well as an in-depth description of the mission:

'Chills': Gen. Dan 'Razin' Caine reveals emotional return of B-2 pilots

I skipped the first six minutes, which are an emotional description of the Patriot missile crews that shot down Iran's missile response to the attack. What he leaves out is that Iran notified the US in advance that these missiles were coming and where they would hit. It still took courage and capability to wait for those missiles to launch so that you could hit them at the right time, but it's not the same as what Israel has experienced for years.

Anyway, General Caine's presentation should lay to rest any question about whether the Fordow and Natanz sites were neutralized. But we have two more angles to look at.

Here is a satellite analysis of that bombing. It includes some of the information provided in General Caine's presentation, but a whole lot more. It's a testament to the ingenuity of the makers of this bomb and how well they deployed it.

Satellite Secrets & Bunker Busters: America’s bombing of Iran as seen by the spies in the sky

Then, there's this ex-F-15E fighter pilot who has had to drop bunker buster bombs and shows us what goes into the mission planning and the operations of such a strike. He's also extremely cringe with his innuendo. But if you can get past that bit, you'll have another level of understanding of why this mission was successful.

One More Thing

So, are you convinced?

Well, there's one more thing to think about. Iran will be a part of the coming of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38 and 39. If Iran had nukes, there would be no need for an invasion. And no, we still aren't sure if Israel has nukes or if they are operational.

In the coming weeks and months we'll see how everything falls out in Iran. We'll hear lots of rumors, but we'll also get a clearer picture of how badly Israel and the US hurt Iran. And yes, Iran has been hurt badly in this Twelve Day War.

Only one IRGC general survived this war, Esmail Qaani, and some are wondering if he's an agent of Mossad. It wouldn't be the first time that Mossad got someone that high in the power structure of an enemy.

Anyway, we live in exciting times. But I've had enough excitement. Boring is better.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
